LARGE SEAT

Notes:
For the large seat element, we advise to use loose cushions for enhanced comfort.

Cushion 140×140 cm: divided into four sectors, knife hedges, padding in recycled and biodegradable polyester fibre, fixed upholstery cover in the fabrics Rope T mélange, Whim or Moss. 

Cushion 100×100 cm: box hedges, padding in recycled and biodegradable polyester fibre, removable upholstery cover in the fabrics Rope T mélange, Whim or Moss. 

Quilted pad 110×150 cm: divided into three parts, padding in recycled and biodegradable polyester fibre, fixed upholstery cover in Maglia Rasata or Maglia Moss knits. 

Notes:
The removable Rete fabric cover of the Alma seating is connected to the steel structure through the use of plastic buttons and Rope cords. The position of the buttons emphasizes the seats geometries. 

The seating pieces in this collection can also be used without the specific pads codes B250AM, B250BM and B250CM. 

The cushions codes B250M and B250N can be also used on other seating pieces of the Aqua collection.

This lounge chair is the re-edition of the original project by architect and designer Lina Bo Bardi for the Casa de Vidro in São Paulo, Brazil, and is crafted by Paola Lenti on an exclusivity basis under approval of the Instituto Lina Bo e P. M. Bardi. 

Born in Rome in 1914 and married to journalist and art critic Pietro Maria Bardi, Lina Bo initially collaborated with Gio Ponti before moving to Brazil after World War II. A bridge between architectural movements, she blended European modernism with local influences. Today, she is regarded as one of the most important architects of the 20th century, often described as the female counterpart to Oscar Niemeyer. Among her most celebrated works is the MASP, Latin America’s most influential art museum.

The Diade elements are joined to the structure by means of stainless steel rivets finished to match the colour of the elements. 

The elements composing the seat and the back of Elba are made of Diade, a patented thermo-formed plastic material, available with white, grey, green and light blue background coupled with Maris fabric. Maris designs Diade surfaces, generating an amazing textile appearance with unforeseeable mélange effects that are never the same. The colour irregularity, due to the structure of the Twiggy yarn used to produce the Maris fabric, is the featuring characteristic of this production process.

The swivel base is provided with a rotation system on ball bearings hidden in the structure of the armchair. 

The Twiggy yarn used as fixed covering of arm and backrests is wound up by hand on the steel frame, so as to create a dense vertical weave. 

The covering can be made in a single colour or in several colours, with stripes arranged to form a multicoloured striped surface. 

Cushions used as backrests can be selected also among those upholstered with Maglia Rasata.

Notes:
Costa inglese and Grana di Riso are Paola Lenti’s exclusive knit fabrics that interpret tradition making it contemporary: the first is crafted in an inedited two-colour version; the second varies the scale of the classic rice stitch. 

Since the fabrics used are soft and elastic, the dimensions listed below are an indication only and may vary by some centimeters.
