The white ash, or American ash, is a tall tree native to North America whose wood has always been used in cabinetry and carpentry for its qualities of strength and elasticity. 

The upper and lower tops are equal; the white ash wood frame is treated to be water and oil-repellent with water-based products to limit the absorption of liquids and greasy substances. 

Giorgio can be easily displaced thanks to the four plastic wheels positioned under the base.

Half Moon is a side table with a distinctive crescent shape, a recurring motif in Greta Magnusson Grossman’s work. Every detail is meticulously crafted to convey the lightness and purity that define her style. The beveled edges of the tabletop and the tapered interlocking joints of the legs reflect both technical mastery and a refined sense of balance. 

Born in Sweden in the early 20th century, Greta Magnusson Grossman was a trailblazing industrial designer, interior designer, and architect who gained recognition across two continents – Europe and North America. In 1933, she became the first woman to graduate from the Industrial Design Institute in Stockholm. After moving to Los Angeles in 1940, she emerged as a key figure in the California Mid-Century Modern movement. Working alongside icons like Richard Neutra and Charles and Ray Eames, she was renowned for her eclectic style, defined by balanced proportions, asymmetrical lines, and innovative material combinations – juxtaposing fine woods, metals, matt and glossy finishes, and luxurious textiles.

The tops in Esmal will be made either in copper or steel according to the type of decoration and the specific processing required to obtain it. 

The Esmal enamelling is obtained by Alessandra Malfatti with manual production techniques that make each top different from the others, unique and exclusive. 

The hedges of the copper tops is not enameled, to allow the material to oxydize over time, as it is intrinsic in its nature, passing from a bright red colour to an intense brown, up to the classic oxide green. 

Awards: the series Ivy in the version with wooden top has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2014 and won the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2013 in the interior furniture design category.
